Sean Carleton is a PhD Student in the Frost Centre for Canadian and Indigenous Studies at Trent University, Peterborough, Canada. His research examines the relationship between settler colonialism, capitalism, and the rise of state schooling in the former British colony of British Columbia, Canada during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
